Because tensions had been mounting in Europe for a while, the France-Germany border was pretty secure when the war started, as I understand it. Germany sought to circumvent that by sweeping through neutral Belgium, with or without welcome. And that decision gets a lot of credit for bringing Britain into the war.
Anyway, this one’s almost a day late. While I adjust to the new semester, I’ve eaten away my backlog and’m drawing them by deadline again. I’ll do my best not to fall behind.
