Are you aware that it’s been almost two months since I updated this site?

I would say, figuratively, that I’ve been painfully aware.

I’ve been in Chéngdū since June, learning to speak Mandarin every day, learning the particularities of teaching Oral English to Chinese students, and practicing my teaching in model school. On August 7th, I’ll finally find out where I’m going for the next two years. Then, by the beginning of September, I should be at my site — which means I can find/buy a scanner and start reuploading Dinosaur Kid the way I like to do it, by hand, with watercolors, minimizing the time spent in unstable image-editing software on a computer.

But in the meantime, simply because I can’t stand it anymore, here’s a short comic done using exactly that same unstable image-edting software. I was actually putting a lot of effort into something else to post for you today, as a surprise, but the program crashed and deleted an upsetting amount of work (SURPRISE!). It’s okay, though, because with that lost one, I was trying really hard to make it look good — and it didn’t. Trust me on that. It was very frustrating.

This one, by contrast, was fun. I’m tired of not updating the site, so I’ll do another one on Wednesday — my Wednesday — which is probably your Thursday. The way I see it, this is simple and silly and better than nothing.
