The Kansas City Royals are doin’ so good right now, and it’s hard not to be excited. This past week they keep setting new records for Most Watched Royals game, and we just beat the Red Sox twice in a row. Friday’s game was an especially dramatic comeback, culminating with a 6-run explosion in the 6th inning. You gotta understand: this is a team that hasn’t even made the playoffs since 1985. And, like, Major League Baseball playoffs involve about 50% of the teams. Seriously — there are people on the team who weren’t even born the last time we were any good. I sure wasn’t.

Not to mention, Rex Hudler has been on fire with the commentary. About best-pitcher-ever and Worlds-of-Fun-devotee Bruce Chen, Hud had this to say: “We know how Bruce chews gum: with confidence. But every once in a while, you’ll get a bubble thrown in!”

You guys, I’m gettin’ all sporty. I might draw Sluggerr, with his weird crownskull. I might even wear a baseball cap, alone in my room, where no one can see.
