#011
Where I grew up, it was “paper-rock-scissors,” in that order. But as I grew up I noticed more and more people using “rock-paper-scissors,” which is pretty much the accepted arrangement. I bit the bullet for this one and used the mainstream order. I don’t wanna stir the pot, you know?
This is my first Dinosaur Kid with the brush pens. I kinda messed up, using a bigger one in weird places, but I’m getting used to them. I’m about to start drawing the comic bigger and changing some settings on the scanner, which will hopefully lead to a crisper, cleaner, more detailed strip. And — and! — I’m gonna migrate to the realworld calendar by the end of this month, which means Dinosaur Kid will be in winter like the rest of the northern hemisphere. Until then, please overlook the unseasonable weather in the next two comics.
Also, happy birthday to my brother! I drew him a picture of Teddy Roosevelt, galumphing and harumphing.
Rock, Paper, Tentacle!
I had a friend who insisted it was “Rock, paper, scissors, SHOOT!” and you didn’t put yours out until you got to shoot. So now I always get confused and ask which way we’re playing before we play.
I REALLY get a sense on the timing here. I can feel the ascending “rock, PAPER, SCISSOR-BOOM!!!” and then the calm as they figure out who won. Really nice.
